The valve clearance of generator set is not correct, including these two cases: the clearance is too small or no clearance; the clearance is too large.
Problem 1: the gap is too small or there is no gap
Cause: valve seat or valve face wear
Troubleshooting: it is necessary to repair the cylinder head and adjust the valve clearance.
Problem 2: the gap is too large
Causes: ① insufficient lubrication; ② wear of rocker arm working surface contacting with the bridge; ③ wear of bridging bridge for air supply valve; ④ wear of valve rod end; ⑤ wear of valve push rod; ⑥ damage or wear of valve tappet; ⑤ wear of convex tip on camshaft
Exclusion method:
① Check the lubrication in the valve chamber. When the engine is running at high speed, there should be a large amount of oil flowing in, while at low speed, there will be a small amount of oil flowing into the valve chamber. The oil channel (especially the channel for conveying oil to the cylinder head) is clean;
② If the wear is too large, the new parts or rocker arm should be replaced to adjust the clearance;
③ Adjust or replace as needed;
④ If the wear is too large, replace with a new valve and adjust the valve clearance;
⑤ If the wear is too big, replace it with a new push rod and adjust the valve clearance;
⑥ Replace the new valve tappet, check whether the camshaft is worn, check whether the valve can move freely or whether the valve stem is bent. Clean the engine thoroughly and adjust the valve clearance;
⑦ Check the valve clearance, check whether the valve can move freely or whether the valve stem is bent. Replace with a new camshaft and a new valve tappet, and adjust the valve clearance.
