2. When the calculated load of the sum of load capacity multiplied by the demand factor is less than the capacity of emergency diesel generator set, the standby factor is considered as 1.2, that is, 1.2 times of the calculated capacity is less than the capacity of the emergency diesel generator set, and the emergency generator set will supply power to the load after the mains power outage.

3. Recognize the brand of the unit. Generally, imported generating sets are assembled machines, and domestic units are also integrated (that is, the generator and engine are of the same brand), and the performance is the same as that of some imported units, and the price is cheap. 4. There are three starting modes of diesel engine: manual starting, electric starting and compressed air starting. In high-rise buildings, electric starting mode should be adopted instead of compressed air starting mode. In a class of high-rise buildings, the diesel generator set with self starting device must be selected. Once the power supply of the city grid is interrupted, the power supply will be within 15 seconds (30 seconds required by the high-level regulation). In class II high-rise buildings, when conditions permit, units with self starting devices should also be used, and manual starting devices can be used when there are difficulties.
